Do you provide mentoring or training for educational interpreters? If you do, join us for this unique opportunity focused on understanding how to use the EIPA assessment tool to develop a professional development plan that addresses interpreters’ unique needs. The EIPA provides information on 37 linguistic features and interpreting skills that is useful for designing individualized training plans but understanding which skills to work on first can be challenging. Join us to learn what the raters are looking for when evaluating educational interpreters and learn how to design Professional Development Plans that support the mentee throughout their career.
Space is limited. Registration is limited to 15 *qualified individuals.  Participants must attend both sessions.

Do I need to be an Educational Interpreter to register for a workshop?

No. EIPA Workshops are designed for interpreters working in a K-12 educational setting. Content and activities will reflect educational settings; however, interpreters working in any setting may participate.
