Target Audience: Educational interpreters, special education directors, deaf education administrators and staff.

This workshop will be presented in spokenEnglish. Captions and ASL interpretation will be provided during the presentation; however, no captions or interpretation will be provided during activities in breakout rooms. All participants will be asked to use ASL in the activity breakout rooms. EIPA Workshops are designed for skilled interpreters able to fully participate in ASL conversations.

Submit a post-workshop survey within 72 hours of the live event.
Correctly record and submit the 2 validation codes that are provided during the workshop. *These validation codes verify attendance throughout the entire workshop. Validation codes are submitted on the post-workshop survey.
The validation codes are designed to meet EIPA and RID’s requirement to “…verify participant attendance and completion of all course materials and requirements…”

Dr. Kimberly Hutter is a recognized expert in the field of educational interpreting who currently serves as the EIPA Scientific Administrator at Boys Town National Research Hospital. Dr. Hutter has served as a technical expert at the Institute for Disability Research, Policy, and Practice and Tennessee Schools for the Deaf, where she demonstrated leadership in advancing educational opportunities for D/deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Her higher education career includes positions at Ball State University, UNC Greensboro, and Valdosta State University, where she has instructed courses in American Sign Language, Interpreting, and Educational Interpreting.
Dr. Hutter brings practical expertise gained from years of providing direct support to D/deaf and hard-of-hearing students in various educational settings, including Chicago Public Schools, Green Bay Area Public Schools, and most recently in a virtual educational environment.
She has been recognized for her academic excellence and research contributions, receiving multiple awards including numerous Graduate Research Awards from UNC Greensboro's School of Education and a prestigious Fellowship from the National Leadership Consortium in Sensory Disabilities. Her goal is to continue advancing the field of educational interpreting through closing the research to implementation gap for K-12 interpreters across the United States and internationally.
