Workshop Objectives
Use strategies and skill building to present math material in and through ASL
Enhance your ASL skills (receptive and expressive) for the purpose of conveying math concepts to deaf students accurately
Become familiar with issues related to ASL-English in the math classroom
Briefly touch on a few broad topics: Language theory, Academic language and Academic ASL
Consider languages in “packages” of texts, sentences, and words
Also consider languages as an instructional paradigm for academic development
Certificate of Completion
This course offers a Certificate of Completion for 1 hour after successfully passing the quiz with a score of 100%.
