Workshop Objectives

• Use strategies and skill building to present  math material in and through ASL

• Enhance your ASL skills (receptive and  expressive) for the purpose of conveying  math concepts to deaf students accurately

• Become familiar with issues related to ASL-English in the math classroom

• Briefly touch on a few broad topics: Language  theory, Academic language and Academic ASL

• Consider languages in “packages” of texts, sentences, and words

• Also consider languages as an instructional  paradigm for academic development

Certificate of Completion

This course offers a Certificate of Completion for 1 hour after successfully passing the quiz with a score of 100%.
